Shan and Sean have carved out a beautiful life for themselves in Aurora, CO. Living in a beautiful blue house on the edge of a green belt with a running trail behind, their neighborhood offers what many dream of: a community. On the front porch sit two chairs to watch their two beautiful girls ride their bikes in the street with other neighborhood kids. Their dog, Pasha, has the fine balance of temperament between loving and protective.This weekend they hosted a BarBQ. As preparations started, the once eight-year-old neighborhood kid who is now a high school student came by to offer his assistance. Friends & family members dropped off tables, BarBQs, chairs and other items. Once the festivities began lively conversations sprung up with kids meandering in and out of small clusters of adults. I was able to talk with many of their friends and neighbors, and see this brief sliver of their lives.
Shan is a dear friend of mine from Junior High through High School. I'm so fortunate to have been reconnected with her and her family. I thank them for allowing me to be a part of their family for a weekend.
