Today was a real test to see how prepared I was for an emergency and I failed. Well, kind of. One of the water mains in the street burst and spectators said the water sprayed as high as 2 stories. My neighbor's car rear view window was targeted by the flying asphalt. I believe his car was the only one damaged in the pipe burst. :(Our water was out...is still out. All we have is a little Britta filter and a tea kettle filled with water. Oops. If this were an emergency we would be sh** outta luck. :( So this evening, I'm going to the store to buy bottled water and will keep a extra bottles in the event that there is a real emergency. We've been throwing enough caution to the wind.
